Diode and Thyristor

The rectifier diode (rectifier) is responsible for converting alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). This device only allows one-way power supply. This is exactly what a semiconductor diode does. The simplest type of rectifier or rectifier circuit is the half-wave rectifier diode and allows only half of the AC waveform to pass through the charge.
